1. Product Introdution
1.1. Product Introduction
Wiegand Tool is for generating wiegand IN/OUT format file when terminals are connected to
weigand card reader or other controllers.
It can set up the standard 26 bits and 34 bits as well as the user cutomized bits. Also it can
support for the user based customization for parity, bit digit, data field, etc.
The weigand format file generated from the Wiegand Tool can be transferred to the terminal using
UCS SDK. Refer to UCS SDK SetWiegandFormatToTerminal fuction for more info.
This manual is for how to use the Weigand Tool.

2. Wiegand Out Setting

2.1. Basic Info

Length Select (Unused / St. 26bit / St. 34bit / Customize)
- Unused : No use

- St. 34bit : Standard 34bit
- Customize
■ Custom size
Length select (Range: 1~128bit) when Bit Length setting is [Customize].
■ Port State
Active Low (default) / Active Hight.
■ Site Code
Setting when reqired to set by user (Terminal Setting Range: 0~255, SDK is possible to set more
than the terminal setting range.)
※ Tip
26bit – 3byte (SiteCode : 1byte + UID : 2byte) / 34bit – 4byte(SiteCode : 1byte + UID : 3byte)
■ Send Fail
Sending fail data (Select among the options of Not Anything / Send Fail Data / Invert Parity)
- Not Anything : No use
- Send Fail Data : Send Fail Data
- Invert Parity : When sending fail data, send E/O the opposite (E:Even Parity/O:Odd Parity)
■ Fail Data
When Send Fail setting is [Send Fail Data], set fail data sending data format
※ Tip
Faile Data : when 1234 is set, 1=SiteCode / 234 = UID (ID: 3 digits)
■ Bypass
When sending card data input from the card reader, set YES. The default is NO.
■ Interval Time(us)
Interval Time b/w Wiegand Signal
Normally this value is not set. (0 = When no use, then 2ms)
■ Width Time(us)

Normally this value is not set. (0 = When no use, then 50μs)
2.2. Field Type

The below is Wiegand setting example fro 26 bits. (From the Wiegand Tool, 26bits and 34 bits canb
e used as the standard settings but in order to explain ‘Customize’, we will use the 26 bits as an exa
